Using Social Media to Address Emotional Health

Share Post:

It may seem typical to use social media when you own a business in order to advertise and draw attention to your company. However, Revitalist uses Social Media more intentionally. We also use social media to help address the stigma of mental health, educate the reader on many topics in mental health, and encourage people who are looking for hope and love. We use platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok to accomplish this task.

This week, for example, we have posted articles on nutrition and mental health, how Covid-19 has affected mental health, how ketamine reduces PTSD symptoms, and the impact of music on ketamine infusions. These articles exemplify our desire to educate folk on mental wellness topics that may hopefully be a key to understanding themselves and how to find hope and healing. They also inform our readers on new information in science about mental health, keeping everyone up to date on advancement. Ultimately, in their knowing and understanding, they can help others know and understand, as well.

Likewise, to support the community this last week, we posted information on the Metro Drug Coalition, who is partnering with the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) to provide the Recovery Coach Academy next week (3/8 through 3/11). The program is for individuals wanting to guide, mentor, and support those wishing to enter into or sustain long-term recovery from an addiction to alcohol or other drugs.  We use these types of posts because Revitalist encourages healthy, supportive communities and educational opportunities such as this to propel positive change. We support the programs in our community to bring unity and hope to the community in need of help with mental health issues and addressing stigma that follows.

One of our favorite ways to use social media is to encourage our followers and help them smile and feel loved/lovely in a world that induces frowns, fear, anxiety, stress, and negativity. It might include a funny meme, an inspirational quote, or a video that teases and makes light of our spectacular staff. In these light and positive messages, we hope to bring some joy and encouragement to a hurting world.

So if you are interested, use the links on the web page and follow us on your favorite social media! You will be glad you did!
