“I’m a wife, mother to three precious, wild children (two by birth and one by the way of the crazy amazing journey of adoption) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have over 9 years of experience providing therapy services to adults and adolescents. My areas of expertise include self-acceptance and personal growth, anxiety and stress, trauma, women’s issues, parenting, adoption, relationship issues, chronic illness and caregiver support. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee.
I specialize in an innovative therapeutic model called Acceptance and Integration Training (AAIT) and am currently completing a Clinical Fellowship under AAIT founder, Melanie McGhee, LCSW. AAIT is unlike traditional talk therapy, meaning that we will not spend much time talking about the past and life’s painful experiences. Instead, we will directly address the issues you wish to work on with AAIT processes. AAIT techniques alleviate emotional pain, decrease reactivity, improve insight and instill feelings of peace and wholeness.
Life is messy; however, I believe that we are all here with a profound purpose and I am on a quest to live into that and help others to as well, no matter the mess. My passion is people and being a small part of their story- the one where they take back their lives and live boldly and purposefully. I look forward to journeying with you!”
