As it was for many others, 2020 was a year spent learning about myself in new situations. I took this opportunity to explore ways my professional life could have more impact and meaning for the people in my community.
As a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina’s School of Nurse Anesthesia and a proud member of AANA, I had been putting people to sleep and waking them up for more than 13 years. I’ve had more than twenty years in healthcare, from bedside ICU trauma to holding faculty positions at the Coastal Georgia Community College School of Nursing, and it has always led me to continue pursuing new evidence-based practices that benefit my patients.
I really wanted to explore a more meaningful connection with my patients and bring out their best experiences. Ketamine-assisted therapy has sparked a new passion to help clients find their best selves.
As co-lead nurse anesthetist at Revitalist of Louisville, I hope my expertise with a variety of patients lends itself to collaboration. My hope for clients is to really explore and conquer the struggles of mental health.
When I am not at Revitalist, you can find me getting lost on trails in our beautiful park system. I try to find additional adventures by traveling to new cities to explore local treasures as well as enjoying great food and music. I hope I can assist clients with finding that passion again in their own lives.
